2013 Future 5 Award Recipient
Steve Leaman currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Business Banking at Horicon Bank. The past few years Leaman has been busy growing and expanding the Fond du Lac office for Horicon Bank. His work has not only impacted the balance sheet and income statement for the Fond du Lac office over the past year, but has also impacted the brand identity for Horicon Bank in this community. Additionally, Leaman is involved in the strategic plan of the bank by participating in two key committees which will be instrumental in shaping the face of the bank. Though he isn’t one for the spotlight, Leaman has had quite the year. In April 2012, he was named the “Badger of the Year” by the Wisconsin Alumni Association – Fond du Lac Chapter. A few weeks later he received the Donald G. Jones Leadership Alumni Award from the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce and in September, Leaman was recognized by Habitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County, Inc. for six years of service. Leaman continues to be involved in numerous community organizations and activities, including the Association of Commerce’s Ambassador’s Club and Youth Leadership Fond du Lac program, Junior Achievement, Leaders as Readers, Habitat for Humanity, Wisconsin Alumni Association, Cardinal Soccer Booster Club and the Fond du Lac Area United Way. “In addition to the awards and recognition I have continued to remain as active as possible,” said Leaman. “And even though I am no longer on the boards of these organizations I continue to be involved, working to make a difference from a different perspective.” Those that know him know him as a leader. Steve’s leadership traits, enthusiasm, volunteerism and altruism are remarkable as he continues to make a difference in the Fond du Lac community.
