Amy Jessen – 2015 Future 5
As Corporate Event Planner at Michels Corporation, Amy Jessen is a respected leader, driving their company culture forward. Nominated by Michels co-workers Holly Luehring, Director of Marketing, and Michelle Trapp, Senior Manager, Customer Relations, Jessen is described as a dedicated member of the company and the community who, “far exceed(s) the requirements of her role.”
Since starting in April of 2014, Jessen has planned and executed meetings and special events for all divisions of Michels Corporation. She’s taken on new and expanded responsibilities that, as Luehring tells it, “has directly improved corporate morale, teamwork and communication.”
But it’s not just Jessen’s success in the office that earned her a 2015 Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) Future 5 Award. While in the community, Amy Jessen has been very involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County as a board member over the last two years, as well as her involvement with the Wisconsin Business Travel Association. Jessen has also had a substantial impact on YPF as the 2015 President, Board Member and Programming & Events Committee member and co-chair. Jessen was also integral in putting on a successful week of programming during YPWeek earlier in 2015.
“She is committed to doing all that she can to make Fond du Lac a great place to live and work,” says Luehring. “I can think of no one more deserving of this Future 5 Award than Amy Jessen.”
