The holidays are right around the corner! But, before you get too busy, make plans to celebrate the season with YPF!
Join the Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF) for Cooking Up A Better Team: Holiday Edition.
5:00 – Registration
5:20 – Team Kick-off and Kitchen/Recipe Assignment
5:30-7:00 – Instruction, Cooking Activities & Clean-up
7:00-8:00 – Dine & Network; cash bar available
Sign up in teams –or– sign up solo and get paired up.
Space is limited to 40 participants. First come, first served on space. 7 teams (of 5-6 people) will be split into 3 kitchens.
Sharing food is an age-old bonding ritual. Cooking and team-building are remarkably similar activities, requiring participants to be creative and experiment within defined boundaries while working together toward a desired result. An event involving both is a great way to whip up a more cohesive group! Moraine Park Technical College’s Culinary Arts Center, located on the Fond du Lac campus, will provide YPF with a fresh and unique way to foster cooperation and teamwork. Fine food and fine company bring people closer.
In teams, participants will work cooperatively (under the guidance of an MPTC instructor) to prepare an assortment of hor d’oeuvres. Participants will leave with a recipe booklet of the items utilized throughout the event.
Menu consists of:
Pepper Poppers with Boursin cheese
Wisconsin Charcuterie Board with Lavash
Bacon Wrapped Garlic and Figs
Baked Brie Cheese with Apricot Preserves
Lemon curd tarts
Chocolate velvet cake
The guests will be in the kitchen for about two hours and spend the last hour in Park Terrace to dine. The restaurant will be decorated in a holiday theme. During dinner, a cash bar featuring wine and beer will be available.
