Evening Power Hour @ THELMA
Spend an hour of your day and network with the Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF). Evening Power Hour’s are a fun and stress-free way for you to get connected to young professionals in the Fond du Lac Area. This is a great opportunity for you to meet and mingle with area young professionals in a relaxed environment.
Join YPF as we check out the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts! On Thursday, November 20, YPF members are invited to attend an evening Power Hour from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Great Hall Lounge (at THELMA). In addition to networking and enjoying the captivating facility, attendees will have the chance to view a new exhibit highlighting the global work of Michels Corporation. The exhibit by German-based artist H.D. Tylle will be featured on both levels of THELMA’s Contemporary Wing from October 30 to January 11. As a sponsor of YPF, Michels Corporation invites members to attend and explore! The exhibit, Menschen bei der Arbeit, which is German for People at Work, depicts various projects completed by Michels Corporation.
Tylle captures scenes in workplaces that few artists, or members of the general public, for that matter have visited. He has immortalized factory scenes and individual laborers, underscoring the importance of America’s shrinking industrial base.
“Tylle has a great talent for capturing people at work,” said Tim Michels, owner and vice president of Michels Corporation. “We believed that having him paint some of our jobsites and people would be a fabulous way to memorialize and highlight Michels’ work. Most importantly, he showcases the hard working people of Michels Corporation by bringing them to life in his paintings.”
