Jessica Kimball – 2019 Future 5
Jessica Kimball – Director of Programs, The Arc Fond du Lac
For the past 12 years, Jessica Kimball has served in various capacities at The Arc Fond du Lac, including as the organization’s Director of Programs since this past summer. Her nominator sums up Kimball’s role and passion best: “(Jessica) is a vocal advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a passion for ensuring they are afforded full human dignity and welcomed as members of our community. In the four months she has served as the Director of Programs, Jessica has built new partnerships, sought to implement disruptive practices to increase quality of life, and shown that her role will bring our community further in the mission of The Arc Fond du Lac. Her potential for success is boundless.”
Kimball’s passion extends beyond the duties of her professional career where she is also a vocal advocate and volunteer for various organizations. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Girls on the Run (GOTR) Fond du Lac program, a Cub Scouts co-leader, Girl Scouts volunteer, and parent/teacher support group volunteer for Families 4 Friendship. She is also a recent graduate of the Leadership Fond du Lac program through Envision Greater Fond du Lac and was especially energized by the boardsmanship class, which prompted her joining GOTR.
As a young professional who is striving to help her children find their own paths in life, Kimball is a “live in the moment” type of person who is excited to continue her true passion of enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She states: “I plan to continue educating anyone who is willing to listen about the rights of those with disabilities and what they can truly offer to any community, where we can look past the disability and truly focus on every person’s ability.”
