How has YPF contributed to your personal and/or professional development?
YPF has been fantastic for my growth this year. I have met so many people through this, and it’s fun building on relationships from Member Mondays to committee work, to seeing people out in the community. It has helped me network tremendously and gain insight on what is going on in our community.
Who or what is your source of professional inspiration?
My kids. I want to be able to provide for them and give them opportunities to try new things.
What are some of the professional and volunteer groups you participate in?
YPF Membership Committee, Envision Ambassadors Club, FDL Rec League Soccer Coach
In keeping with YPF’s theme for this year, “Say Yes,” when is a time that you “said yes” that has had an impact on your personal or professional life?
When my wife brought up being a foster parent. January 11, 2017, our life changed forever (for the better). We took in a sibling group ages 6,4, and 2. It has made an impact every day of my life since that moment. We were able to adopt this past July after 3.5 years, and we are officially a family of 5. Now I am the cool dad rocking the mini-van!
What is your favorite thing to do in the Fond du Lac area?
There is so much to do, just depends on the month. Love the YMCA, and Fruth Field for football games. Love the winter activities and the sturgeon spectacular.
Where do you see the Fond du Lac area in 5 years?
Forward. That is our state motto, and luckily, we have leaders that are moving us forward in the right direction.
What words of wisdom do you have for other young professionals working in Fond du Lac?
As a mature young professional, I recommend trying something new. Goes with this year’s theme of ‘saying yes’ and try something you have never done before, you just might like it. Keep building relationships, you never know where it may lead you.
