What do you enjoy the most about your current position?
The thing that I enjoy most about my position is the diversity of it. Every day I get a lot of different things to work on and even if it changes 10 times during the day, it keeps me excited to come to work and come up with solutions for our clients.

What is the one thing you would do if you knew you could not fail?
If I could not fail, I would start a business helping people manage their money and bills so that they can be more successful and happier in their life.

How has YPF contributed to your personal and/or professional development?
YPF has contributed to my development by allowing me to network with professionals in the area. Coming to Fond du Lac from a different community, I didn’t know many people here. YPF has given me an opportunity to meet a lot of people in different organizations/occupations than mine. This allows me to get a different perspective on things thanks to everyone seeing things from a different angle.

Who or what is your source of professional inspiration?
The source of my professional inspiration is my parents. Growing up they instilled a hard-working, blue-collar mentality into me. They also make the hard choice even when it’s not the easiest choice; they try to make it more manageable and easier for everyone that it affects.

In keeping with YPF’s theme for this year, “Create Your Change,” how have you or will you create your change?
The biggest obstacle people face when trying to implement a change is they look at the big picture and it looks too far out there. One thing I have been working on is breaking down the things that I need to work on into little changes in order to make it more manageable for me to accomplish my goals.

Where do you see the Fond du Lac area in 5 years?
I see Fond du Lac continuing the rejuvenation that has been happening in the past few years. Leadership at both the city level and individual businesses are doing a great job of making the area more attractive to the young professionals, which will help bring in more talented individuals and help retain the great individuals that are already here!

What words of wisdom do you have for other young professionals working in Fond du Lac?
Don’t be afraid to get involved with events even if it’s in an area you don’t have knowledge in. The worst thing you can do is stop learning and developing. YPF does a great job of creating opportunities for YP’s to get together whether it be to network or to learn from one another.
